Angel Memories

Happy Martin

Adopted 12/23/11
Deceased 11/21/25

On November 21st we had to say good-bye to Chappy aka Happy as we renamed him. He was adopted on 12/23/2011 to be a companion for our mom, Pat Barnes, after she retired from working. He was her 24/7 companion from that day until my mom passed away on 11/17/25 at the age of 92. At that point his heart was broken.

Happy was suffering with several issues including pancreatitis, several fatty tumors all over his body and some allergy that caused his feet to swell. He would lay in the closet where my mom's clothes and shoes were and was often heard moaning and howling.

Because he was now approaching 17 years of age we made the decision that he would not overcome his broken heart and we asked the vet to please help him. Happy was a one-person dog, even after 16 years living in the same house (our mom lived with me and my husband for 19 years) he would not let me close to mom if she was sitting in her favorite recliner with him at her side.

He was loved dearly, but he is now free of pain, and just maybe he is with our mom in heaven today.

Priscilla Spencer

Adopted 12/29/11
Deceased 09/06/25

I am tearing up writing this. My sweet Prissy Mullens has passed. She was the definition of unconditional love. I am so sad. She had stopped eating and she passed before I could get an appointment. She is buried on my sister-in-law’s land behind her home under a shady tree.

Priscilla was the sweetest girl ever. She loved her dog family and loved kissing the other pups. They loved her so much and are still looking around the house for her. I can ‘t seem to keep my eyes from leaking. I still have Cederic Diggory (Digs), Shadow Sunkissed (Shadow), and Lilly Boots (Lilly), but Prissy left a huge hole in my heart.

Jules Rhame

Adopted 08/14/12
Deceased 08/31/25

On August 31st we lost our sweet precious Jules. She was never the same after her back surgery 2 years ago. She was always so independent and loved running in the yard. The stress of not making a full recovery caused a lot of stress on her. She had a stroke 6 months after and then we think either another stroke or heart attack 6 months later.

I still cry for her every day and miss her so much. She was my little girl friend. 💗💗

Forever in my heart I will always remember and love you sweet girl, my First Lady Dachshund.

Hazel Hinnant

Deceased 07/23/25

Hazel was a blessing for 15 years, she was the tiniest baby girl but she was definitely the boss to all the boys. She was mammas favorite little chocolate and baby girl and daddy’s little princess. Hazel loved all the boys but she definitely had a special bond with Frederic and Zeke. All the boys loved her and knew she meant business if she gave them a certain bark to stop whatever nonsense they were up too.

Apollo, thank you for spending all of your nine lives with me. I sure wish you had a few more. Rest in peace, my sweet boy.
