Sweet old lady Phoebe Pheasant is one of our Senior Sanctuary ladies.
Phoebe had some very nasty teeth that had created "holes" from her mouth up through her nose. Since Pheobe has some heart issues, we felt it was best to attend to as quickly as possible. 🦷 She checked in to the vet Thursday morning and was given fluids prior to surgery since she is older & has a heart murmur. All four of her canine teeth were extracted a "flap" created to close the opening between her mouth and nasal cavity.
She came home later that day, and you can tell by her picture, she was quite "loopy",
She is healing well and able to eat soft foods & will gladly accept a soft treat.
Dental health is a real concern for our babies with those deep pocked mouths!
