Our sweet foster Cami is now hanging with the pups as much as being in her own bed. So sweet! Looks like Shadow is trying to keep his nose warm ;>). They’ve become good friends and like to chase each other around the island in the kitchen.
Our biggest hope is that we can find a family for Cami where at least one person works from home or is retired. Cami is still, and may always be, a skittish dog. She still crouches when being approached while she is on the floor or outside, even though she now knows that she gets nothing but love from us. She also seems a little desperate for attention now that she is in a safe environment. When we walk by her bed on the sofa, she reaches out for us with her paw, begging to give us kisses, to get a treat, or to be petted. Cami is worth the effort because she is so loving. She needs a patient, understanding owner who likes to give and get a ton of kisses, and who won’t get angry if she has an accident in the house.
This gorgeous little 12lb. Isabella colored cutie is Cami Cameo. In Cami's former life, she was used for breeding. A year or so ago, when the breeder no longer had any use for her, she found a new home belonging to a kind senior citizen. Sadly, Cami's new mom developed some health issues that have made it impossible for her to continue caring for this 5 year old beauty. Cami is just now getting to know her foster family, but we're told she listens well and is learning to use the doggie door while working on her housetraining skills. She's good with people, but is very skittish at first and will run from you. She really likes to lounge around outside but enjoys going for walks too. We're all committed to helping Cami find a caring home where she can settle in to be loved and pampered, which she so deserves.
